Abstract submission - Call for abstracts

We are pleased to invite all interested IHSG conference participants to submit an abstract for an oral and/or poster presentation at the 12th IHSG Conference.

Deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday 30 May, 2025

Abstracts must be submitted in English using the form below. There is a non-refundable submission cost of AU$40.00 per abstract, including service tax (GST) and payment fees, which can be paid for in the online store. Abstract submissions will be considered for peer-review once payment has been received.

Abstracts must focus on pasture/herbage seed production of both temperate and tropical grass and legume species. Authors are encouraged to focus their abstracts on one or more conference topics of:

  1. Emerging and alternative seed crops – ‘non-traditional’ crops other than lucerne/alfalfa, ryegrass and white clover.

  2. Seed production in a challenging and changing environment – adapting to and overcoming challenges and changes in the environment, politics, regulatory and seasonal climate.

  3. Sustainable seed production

  4. Agronomic advances, innovation and technology in seed production.

Submitted abstracts will be considered for oral presentations – as talks of 15 mins integrated into the plenary sessions – and for poster presentations. A 1-4 page paper will be required from oral presenters. Opportunities for poster presenters to discuss their work with interested participants will be provided during breaks in the schedule.

All accepted abstracts will be collated in the conference proceedings.

  3. Pay the non-refundable AU$25.00 abstract submission fee in the online store. Abstract submissions will be considered once payment has been received.
