Since 2015, Tasmanian Seed Industry Group Inc. (TSIG) has been the peak industry body representing Tasmanian pasture, turf and vegetable seed production industry. We encompass all aspects of the Tasmanian seed production industry, from farmers to agronomists, seed companies, seed testing, government and researchers.
Our aim is to assist with coordinating the sustainable progression of the Tasmanian pasture and vegetable seed industries, and related research, development and extension activities in Tasmania.
TSIG were also the proud hosts of the 12th International Herbage Seed Group Conference, held in Launceston, Tasmania, in November 2025.
The Tasmanian seed industry has identified four priority areas of industry development: improved production systems, seed quality, communication and connection, resilience and sustainability. Read more in the new Tasmanian Crop and Pasture Seed Industry Plan 2024-30.
